As it says, have a safe & enjoyable Soangkran festival smile.png to all the miserable .............. that are dying to chip in about how much they hate it, dont bother we know & DONT CARE!

@eezer Once you have tasted Laphroaig, 100 Pipers does not really feel the same anymore :)

Anyway Happy Songkran to everybody. Be safe and enjoy the waterboarding.

Yes, Happy Songkran. Stay safe on the roads.

To be even safer, stay off the roads.

Around 300 people will die on the roads in Thailand over the next 3 days. Of course, each one of those 300 thought it would never happen to them.

Get wet, get drunk, get laid - do whatever, just leave the bike/car at home. You may be doing the right thing, chances are, the guy coming the other way, will not be.

Happy and safe Songkran to all Phuket TV members.

Mr. Doom and gloom. People get killed walking on the road, they slip in the bathroom and die. Stay home, never go out, that way you'll at least feel safe I suppose. Get out and enjoy! You only live once!

Happy Songkran, by all means, don't get wet! biggrin.png

If that horrible event should happen, make sure you are a pretty lady with an white t-shirt. For songkran, not for us, spectators.

No "doom and gloom" - just a good idea to stay off the roads the next few days.

I'll be out throwing some water around. No need to stay inside. Enjoy Songkran, but it's just a good idea to stay off the roads the next few days, that's all.

Current freezing weather together with wet clothes and decreased immune systems due massive alcohol consumption will result an massive flu season. This combined with soon spreading bird flu, will take it's toll. All, prepare to die.

I went out for a while yesterday and had a reasonable time (wish they'd stop icing the water, though). As per usual, they've got Nanai blocked off in some areas and elsewhere are still throwing buckets of water on people passing on m/cycles. Dangerous - nothing's changed - I can hear them out there again today. So much for the areas set aside for water play...

Out of mere curiosity, are any of the bars in Bangla selling grog?

I was pretty cold after getting wet and riding my motorbike down the street. The Thais for the most part don't throw it right in my face, especially if you slow down and let them drench you. The westerners on the other hand seem to always aim for the face... It was fun for a while, but then it was time for a warm shower and dry clothes.
