OzMick
"..........Sam Rae Metropolitan policemen fired at a group of street racers but the bullet hit the ill-fated woman." The penalty for speeding has obviously been increased. One might think a manslaughter charge is likely, but TIT.

BuddyPinkham
Metropolitan Police spokesperson, said that there have been 1,534 houses signed up for the city police’s protection during April 8-17, I wonder how much they had to pay for this protection? techboy
Why do you have to sign up for police protection??? They are supposed to protect everyone the best they can at all times. This is ridiculous. How can you stoop to such a ridiculous mischaracterization? If someone was going to be away from their home for several days they alerted the police to this vulnerability. That is the context of "sign up." It is a prudent practice used by citizens and local police forces not just in Thailand.

jaiyen
Judging by the number of drunken drivers nicked over Songkran I would say there were plenty of hiccups but not much safety !
