Once again it seems that many TV commenters have an unrealistic idea about something. Where is there a better place in Thailand than Pantip to shop for computers items? Many problems with computers are customer ignorance and user malfunction while the products are good. Do your research before you buy.

I have shopped at Pantip Bangkok for many years and normally all good experiences. Major dealers including JIB and Hardware House have service centers in Pantip. They sell name brand products at competitive prices and often have a wide variety. I always buy name brands for major items and warranty has never been a problem. They are hassle free and sometimes even have same day replacements available at their service centers. Many distributors and name brands also have service centers in Pantip. Smaller dealers have also honored the warranty period that have stated on hand written receipts.

Small stores don't want to pay that extra service charge for credit cards but will often add 3% if you want to use it. They get around the credit card issue by adding a disclaimer of no return and/or no warranty to the printed credit card receipt. Read what you sign.
