Backing Up / Downloading Sd Cards On The Road

Featured Replies

I rarely take my computer with me, If I go away for a week or 2, I want to be able to dump SD cards onto a portable hard drive or something.

Anyone know of any device that you can just slide a SD card into and copy the images over?

Maybe something like this could be worth it, and no great loss if it breaks or is stolen when I leave it in the hotel room or car.

I use my iPad, but you need to purchase a separate connection kit. Convenient way of reviewing your shots, and when you discover they are all crap; you can play Angry Birds instead!

Hi CLB.... Dancealot, just went through this today.... he has a 500 gb/mb(?) mini backup up drive, which needs to be connected to a computer along with a SD card.

You can just use an internet cafe computer to do this...and transfer direct to the back up drive..... (not to the shop computer). He had about 2900 images which transferred over in about 25 minutes.

Personally, I usually take my Mac Air along on trips along with two cards... so usually have enough space to keep the originals! (small PC laptop would do too) obviously more to loss! whistling.gif
