Can someone please help?

If I take on a contractor, who is VAT registered, do I still keep back 3% witholding tax when I pay them or do I give them the full paymeny including 7% VAT for them to pay?

Sorry very boreing but need some help?

From what i inderstand a private individual does not need to withold but a company does

Again - not an expert, but I think that Simon is correct. Also I understood that the withholding tax was for services - not goods.

If I am correct - withholding tax for his time, but not for the materials used.

Definitely talk to an accountant. (I can recommend a very good one if you need one.)

I had a condo block built with my Thai Company 3% on everything. Sorry 3% of the ex-vat price. The contractor will try to add back the 3% to the contract price.
