He actually did pull him back though, and VAR decided it was a foul, if VAR was used on your lads last week they'd all have match bans. Ps. I used to go down much quicker than that in Nana

Where have i said he didn't pull him back and that it wasn't a foul ? you have been commenting on how easy Spurs players went down and when i give an example of a Liverpool going down easily you start waffling !!!

As for var being used,  your mate  Carragher and various other punters including Dermot have looked at the different camera angles just like vars would and came to the same conclusion as the ref so i'm not too sure var would have changed the refs decision, incidently Moss is in charge of a game this week so perhaps that tells you if the authorities think  he had a good game or not !!! !

Thought VvD took the stick he was getting very well. Just smiled and grinned every time they gave him grief

It was relatively mild abuse though wasn't it.  Anyway, he's a professional,  and was certainly expecting a degree of stick.  So, he just does his job, remembers he's joined a much bigger club on loads more money and guess what, i doubt he gave a sh1t!!!!

Pathetic from Saint fans to boo a former player, he was always going to step up and move on once he successfully developed, OK it was a bit messy the way the transfer panned out but I would not blame him for the screw up.

Great result and clean sheet.

Liverpool are not far away from being genuine challengers, just need a keeper like the Man Utd or Chelsea keepers, they should try get Butland.

You've just beaten a poor Soton side, calm down !!!!

Thought Karius had a blinder yesterday, defo contributed to 3 points rather than dropping them.

Refreshing to see, but makes you realise how bad it’s been.

Lets hope this is the beginning of the much touted talent coming to the fore.

he was really good wasn't he? shows you there's something there and there was obviously something we scouted. hope he keeps it up. doesn't necessarily mean he's going to be good enough long term but at least means he's got potential to improve, which mignolet clearly hasn't.

I think giving him a good game run has given him confidence, he didn’t look nervous and perhaps VvD has contributed to that. His record since starting this season is actually pretty good.

it does give us hope, yeah Migs has to go.

yeah reckon VVD and robertson in place of lovren and moreno has had an impact on the confidence.

Actually thought Robertson was a bit Moreno like (defensively) yesterday. Brain farts near corner flag and too shortarsed to clear headers from long balls. Hopefully a one off! And for all his faults, I'd prefer Lovren instead of Matip,  who reminded me of Bambi on ice on a couple of occasions. Looking forward to Gomez at C/B next season.

Don’t rate Matip, 4th 5th choice next season, hopefully

Going down easily while being physically pulled back is not the same as a total fabrication of infringement and diving.

3 dives, 2 pens, 1 point. ?

The point of my post Bobby was that no one commented on it or did i miss it ?

Anyway thanks for the 4 points this season :guitar:
