Here on Thai Visa?

I know I wouldn't but it does seem to be the place that will attract attention xxxxxx who like to boast about how their net worth is way above the average.Mine isn't right now but I've gotta believe that even if it was I wouldn't be coming here to boast about it,why would I?
So anyway,I suppose it's an exhibitionist thing,I'm thinking of one guy now but he's not by any means the only one,far be it from me to pick any guy out, there's just zero reason to have to do this on here!

So,why?

If they boast about having money, is it any different then me boasting about winning a bout.

It's just pride and ego, we all have it, when I win I want to shout it from the rooftops, now having success and money outdoes any of my victories so go for it be proud and boast I say.

just don't put yourself above others in doing so and it's fine.

A lot of the threads remind me of reading the Penthouse Forum when I was a wee whacker lad.

At first, they're fascinating, to think that people actually write in about their "experiences". (Not to mention that people actually do that stuff) But after reading a hundred or so, it becomes apparent that the writing style is a little too consistent....

If you're sitting behind an anonymous account, tossing out a fictitious persona that claims to have gotten rich by inventing rubber bands, why not "put yourself up to be torn to threads"? You get to rag on others as much as they rag on you - or more accurately, on Dash Riprock, who has more money than God and a winkie and infinite wisdom to go with it- and the TV hit counter keeps spinning.

It's a win-win-win. Especially on a boring day.

If you belive everything you read on forums, then that particular topic I was a toilet cleaner at Tesco who use to model size 16 shoes for people who had one leg longer than the other.

Don't belive everything you read on forums, but I was telling the truth smile.png

Well I'm not rich....but I can afford a bottle of something cold...or a glass of something at room temp....a decent meal....and to sleep well.

What more do you want every day of the week.....?

Well, Earl Butz the former (Republican) Secretary of Agriculture summed it up with the observation that forced him out of office;

Butz said: "I'll tell you what the XXXXXXs want. It's three things: first, a tight pussy; second, loose shoes; and third, a warm place to sXXX"

*****Edited to remove reference to a minority group and to defecation so that no one is offended.

Personally, I think that sums up the viewpoint of a great many people of all ethnicity. Loose shoes are very important to the elderly as their feet swell with the heat. And no one wants to poo in a cold place. Well, at least I don't. How about you Mr. Smokie? As for the reference to cats, I'll leave it to the swingers of TVF to figure it out. whistling.gif

Let's get down and dirty about it. TV does has it's share of pompous asses.

That being said, they are quite entertaining.

I'm down to my last billion and have to think hard if those 20 baht noodles are cost effective. And tipping, they seem to be happy with the 2 baht left in the tray. biggrin.png

Reminded me of all the xxx million baht topics and can you live on it.

Perhaps as one ages, money replaces the penis. Remember back when you were 12-15, and there was always some kid boasting about the size of his penis?

You stopped laugh.png

i am assuming that this post refers to homeownership who announced assets of around 19 million sterling.

it is my belief that the man is either crass, ignorant, delusional, lying or any and all combinations of the three.

An Internet forum opens the world up for anybody to be what they really are not or talk about what they really haven't got. huh.png

Over a period of time regular readers, I think, soon have their ''thoughts'' about certain posters smile.png , though many have been wrong about me, I mean the picture in their head is way different to the guy l really am.laugh.png

There are lots of places in the world where it is considered vulgar to discuss one's net worth, the UK is one such place and I suspect the OP is from such a place.

There are lots of places in the world where it is perfectly normal to discuss one's net worth (especially if you are wealthy), Thailand is one such place.

Maybe its a matter of cultural adjustment.

By Farangs and Thais that haven't got any. whistling.gif

I have a tight pussy. She's wound up so tight, she leaps to the top of the bookshelf in one bound at the slightest sound of a dog. She's had a tough life.

Anyway. Is it just my selective memory, or was TV a friendlier place back in 2004, when I first joined?

Actually no. That would have been considered gay and, back then, that was not generally thought of as a good thing.

biggrin.png Glad you brought that up Ulysses.

I was going to ask why someone of geriatrickid's age would be remembering something like that........................tongue.png

he might just be a braggart with only 18 million... or perhaps 17.5 million Sterling.

There could be confusion here.

The definition of true love is when two million hairs meet!

I consider everyone's opinion a valid one and it's up to me whether i read it or not but to insult the OP is not on, but on this subject i got really worried when my ex found some letters i kept hidden of my investments, to try to explain or to bullshit my way out of this one really elevated my acting skills to a very new height,, the first lesson i learn't and was drummed into me by other ex-pats when i was a newby in SEA was never to divulge ones net worth or they will spend it all and more,, it was so true so i kept my assets well hidden and only kept a small amount of money in my account and transferred small amounts into it from overseas accounts, i didn't want to be a suicide victim who throws himself out a 37th floor high rise because of a broken heart after all the money is gone,,, i was very aware of the technique of marrying a Thai girl and after the dust settles she says 1: now remember darling half of your assets are mine and 2: now darling we get a life insurance for you (but you pay for it) but i receive the cash once you throw yourself out the 37th floor condo (with some help) wink wink. So all posts are worthy and a good reminder not to let the guard down and be aware of what goes on in SEA and we are not local but guests in this part of the world, waiting to be ripped off if allowed.

When it comes to looking down your nose at others, the Brits class (caste?) system is alive and well with the help of the BBC.

The Great British class calculator: What class are you?

Take the test here so you know where you fit into the greater scheme of things:
