Another Farang bully makes the news.
I always found they were happy to accept money from any guy ...... young/old/fat/thin .... all the same price. Sure... go ahead an believe a 1000 baht note puts you on a level playing field with a younger more attractive guy who also has 1000 baht.... BTW - you are not one of the 'nasties' I alluded to in my comment, neither are you under any delusion that the women you go with aren't interested in you for the money. BUT... my point remains: When there is an influx of younger guys, even in 'monger-land' the girls will gravitate towards them and this may tend to leave the some of old hands somewhat bitter... this clearly manifests itself in some of the comments on these forums. -

That may be true but I also think that a lot of expats held off on buying cars or condos recently to so the amount IMO isn't too small. -

Okay, you don't pay them 1 Baht, you're not a celebrity, you don't look like Elvis, you have no social standing in Thailand. So how do you make their lives better exactly? Do tell. They all want money. What's weird is you pretending yours doesnt' and you don't pay her a dime. Clearly you're on some ego trip where you want to make people believe you're better than everyone else. But you're not, you're paying, just like everyone else. No, my girl is the epitomy of hotness, yours would be outclassed. She taught herself English, and it's still shaky, not great. Lol, and it's so secret you can't name it? Why don't you say what you have achieved that others haven't? I would be so curious. Shy? I routinely make out that I have less money than I do, to weed out golddiggers, and tell the girls I have no money. My current girl and a previous girl have both sent me money. But that does NOT mean we pay equal or I don't pay, it just means they're willing to invest in me. That's all. That's all you got? Spell it out, what is it about your "character" that you don't pay 1 Baht for your girls, when Elvis, Sinatra, Prince, Depp, all pay for theirs, despite celebrity status and massive SMV. What gives your character such amazing value, do you think, Jake? I'd love to know, lol. -

On this forum, we can express our opinions, my opinions on the Thai finance and Revenue Dept goals, are to fill up the coffers with some kind of tax monies. In this country only limited number of workers actually file and the OECD developed countries average is around 34% while here is is in the low teen's. Tax residents include the expats here for more than 180 days and IMHO very few of them are in the group that is paying any income tax on foreign income. I don't as I have exemption through the DTA and also a Royal Decree. But from comments here I wonder if some folks feel guilty since they don't pay taxes. I do however have paid taxes for the past 65 years, every year I worked. If I didn't have the exemptions, I would probably return to the US or pay local taxes and get tax credits for the US taxes. But, I have been following this OECD move by Thailand for a couple of years and wonder if they will ever be able to make all the necessary changes here to be eligible.
