Kiniyeow
Is it me or is Ranch dressing next to impossible to find in Chiang Mai? I found a Lite Ranch at Rimping one time, bleh, but other than that, I's been next to impossible to find. I really miss having it with my chicken wings..... BillyBobThai
At the shop on Lamphun road that sells baking supplies, they sell a dry powder packet that is to mixed with sour cream. It is good as a dip for chips or wings.

Mapguy
OP, you have got to be kidding! Is this a joke?! Full strength, or no cal ?! It is sold in many stores which import products for "western tastes." I hope you do not suffer withdrawal symptoms!
DaamNaam
You are correct. My family and I love the stuff and haven't been able to find it for awhile now. Back on Ceasar dressing for now. May try Robs recipe, if i can find buttermilk.
noise
Google buttermilk and you will find a recipe for making it with regular milk and vinegar. I do not remember the ratio or I would just post it.
wimpy
Dacheeso buttermilk is available at Rimping or direct. I have seen Paul Newman ranch dressing on the shelves at Big C+.
XINLOI
Try a local Makro store, they may have it on the shelf there. Bought it Udon, once, and haven't seen it since.

WinnieTheKhwai
Google buttermilk and you will find a recipe for making it with regular milk and vinegar. I do not remember the ratio or I would just post it. I have a feeling I'd get pretty far substituting both buttermilk and sour cream with yogurt (unsweetened). May need a drop of vinegar. I think I'd also use fresh onions and garlic, chopped very fine.
junglechef
Raw onion and garlic might not give you the results your looking, esp if you plan on keeping it around, for but give it a try, it's what playing in the kitchen is all about
