I would opt in the beginning for really good bike paths which are separate from the other traffic.

These can really add to the quality of life in the city.

Chiang Mai does not have extremely high humidity much of the year, riding bikes almost everywhere is feasible. Additionally, one might allow very low power electric bikes to be used on the same paths.

Electric Tuk Tuks with aircon and solicitous drivers would be nice, if there were even more. The Songtiao is too big for the single rider to order and use efficiently.

More efficient freight delivery would be a big plus so that you could visit any big box store by bike and then have your stuff sent home at reasonable cost, or just buy over internet and have it shipped same day if that is your choice.
