I just bought a new laptop with Windows 8. Among other problems with this wonderful new OS it does not appear to be backwards compatable with my 5 year old Canon printer. The priter was fairly expensive new and still works perfectly. I hate to be forced to buy a new printer because of Microsoft's planned obsolescence. Does anyone know of a patch or bridge I can download to make these two devices talk to each other? I have had no luck looking around Google. Thanks.

Which printer do you have?

Have you tried the Windows 7 drivers from the Canon website? There may even be W8 drivers there.
