I'm using a HP M1522n printer and have itinstalled to one computer using the USB cord that came with the printer. This
printer is also being used for sharing with other computers. I have a few times printer jobs getting stuck or not
working and i have many times where I have to go into services.msc - stop printer spooler , then go into windows system 32 go to printer area and delete SHD files. Also on other computers I’m constantly having to go into devices and printers remove device then add printer. I suspect one part is a network issue probably.

I have printer sharing turned on. I have network
discovery turn on. Many areas I've tried have been installing

PCL 6 driver

univeral driver

using windows update to find a driver / solution

uninstalled / reinstalled printer software

By the way I’m using windows 7 32 bit. Any ideas
on how to fix this issue

Thanks

I have the same model at home and have had similar problems with both network printing and scanning. This is a network printer so you should connect it to your LAN with a patch cable not by USB to PC. It's less troublesome and you don't need to leave a PC running to be able to print or scan.

The problems went away after I did the following;

1 - Reset the printer to factory default

2 - Set the IP address manually rather than by DHCP

3 - Uninstall the printer from the connected PC, checking the box to uninstall existing drivers as well

4 - Do the same to all network connected PC's

5 - Download the latest drivers from HP:http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?cc=us&prodSeriesId=3442750&prodNameId=3442751&taskId=135&swItem=ma-78741-2

6 - Install the downloaded software to each machine you want to print from or scan to.
