GF's mum lives in Maha Sarakham and she also has Samsung phone. Both of then on AIS plan yet when she try's to call her Mum it just doenst ring. No problems when she uses my iPhone ( DTAC) to call here Mum).

Is it a Samsung to samsung issue or an AIS issue ??

What happens when you use her SIM in your iPhone?

Can she call you?

Has this been happening for a long time?

Can mum call her?

*121# send, returns balance/expiration.

What does AIS say when she calls 1175?

More details might help?

Cant use her sim in my iPhone as they are different sizes, yes this has been happening for along time. MY gf rang 1175 and they said no problems.. they even rang her Mum and checked. This has been going on for a long time. This is real mystery. GF can call me no issue. Im thinking of getting her to delete her Mum's number and redo it ??

And this only happens when your GF calls her Mum? She can call any other number? AIS? DTAC? Her Mum can call her? Can other people on AIS call Mum? Was your GF ever able to call Mum?

Is there any audio message played back by the network? Maybe something in Thai?

How long as she had this SIM?

Maybe turn off the phone, remove the battery and SIM, re-insert both and re-start the phone. Dial Mum form the dial pad by entering 08x nnn-nnnn. If her Mum's number is passed with +66 8 nnn-nnnn, or stored in her phone in that format then the call may not go through (this varies by service provider here).

Yes only when she calls her Mum.. it rings once then just goes onto a flat tone.. no ringing. Only happens with here Mum's phone any other number fine. Had her delete the number and then renter it in memory under a differnet name same thing happened.. no message or playback . Not stored as international number i.e +66 rather 08XXX number.. real mystery this... when she calls here Mum from my iphone it rings fine so dont think here Mum has got problems at here end .

Thanks for thoughts and help

Asked again: She can call any other number? AIS? DTAC? Can other people on AIS call Mum? Was your GF ever able to call Mum?

Without more detail, best guess is an AIS issue.

If you block someones number on a Samsung phone the same thing happens. 1 ring then dead. Perhaps her mother has accidently blocked ya gfs number?

This seems to be the most logical explanation so far... let me see if this works ( although getting her mother to unblock may be beyond her tech capabilities).. thanks to all I will let you know for reference sake Ok. Cheers

On Samsung phones it's quite easy to block someone by accident, when the phone is ringing and you swipe wrong, blocked.

Unblocking however is hidden somewhat.

Dead right happened to my Missus and her friend, Galaxy note 2, her friend had unknowingly blocked her calls.

I agree, accidently blocked.

Anther issue I have with the ais/samsung combo is after a few minutes the person iam talking to cannot hear me regardless of who iniates the call. swap sim into my nokia and the issue is not there.

Exact same issue is happening with a mate and his missus (we all have Galaxy 3's)...... ais refuses to look into it and samsung claims the phones are is correct operating order.

very annoying.
