Looking For A Gsm Quad Band Mobile. Any Bargains In The Los?

Featured Replies

Im looking for a new quad band gsm mobile. an android smartphone would be nice, but a simple "bar" phone could also suffice.

The main thing is that I need this as a 2nd unit, so Im not looking to splurge.

any suggestions for a mobile in the range of up to 2000THB or so?

TIA

Tnx.

Im familiar with gsmarena.

whats worth buying in thailand, namely, which models are priced lower than compared to the west?

3G support would be nice, but not essential

TIA

You can get a functional, quad band 3G capable phone in that price range such as a samsung Galaxy Y, several i-mobile models, LG, Nokia ect. What you get is usually a low-resolution 3" old style touch screen, slow processor and often a non-Android operating system but the phone will do what it is made to do; make and receive calls in most of the world and maybe play some music.

Im familiar with gsmarena.

My link provided a refined search of all quad-band GSM phones.

The Samsung Galaxy Y in 3,290 baht here, so a bit north of the OP's target of 2,000.

I am not familiar with iMMobile phones, hence I said "name-brand", and I still think you'll need to get close to 2,500 baht for a name-brand quad-band GSM phone.
