I have a double entry Non Imm O visa. If I was to extend my visa at the Immigration Office for 60 days, once the 60 days is coming to an end, can I then use my next entry and recurve a further 90 days.

Thanks

A non-O should be single or multiple, right? Not double.

Extend for 60 days? On what basis?

My understanding from a another topic, he is married to a Thai. I agree, usually the Non "O"s are issued as single or multiple entries, but I suppose some consulates do things differently. I would be interested to know where it was issued.

I remember seeing at least one instance where somebody had a non-O visa valid for two entries, because that is all he needed for his travel itinerary. Two entries cost double of a single entry and is a little less than a multiple.

Having a spouse or child with Thai nationality. That is the only reason one can get a 60 day extension.

A very few consulates, issue a number of non-O visas, just like with a tourist visa, instead of multiple. I believe there is one consulate in Australia that does this.

I have a wife and child here in Thailand.

My visa was issued at the Royal Thai Consul in Liverpool.

I told her I was staying for 6 months, knowing I was able to get a 60 day extension or otherwise extend for a further year as I am married.

I paid for 2 single entries. £100.

You can get one 60 day extension for each 90 day entry of your visa.

You wife will need to go with you. You will need your marriage certificate (plus copy) plus copies of your passport photo page, visa, entry/permit to stay stamp and TM6 departure card. Wife's ID card and house book plus copies. If not living where wife is registered in house book you might also need some proof of address.

Would my visa still be classed as a Non-Imm-O?

As I would like to get a Thai Driving License!

Thanks

Yes, your permission to stay will still be on the basis of your non-O visa.

You will have an extension which is better than having a visa entry. Some offices (Bangkok) will not issue a certificate of residence unless you are on an extension of stay.
