New Local Golf League In Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

This local golf league plays twice a week...Alpine on Tuesday's and Green Valley on Thursday's. For more information visit their site at www.chiangmaisanuksabaigolfers.blogspot.com

WHat are the green fees like? I know it's 6000 THB to play the air force course in Chiang Rai....for the entire year.

Apparently not so "Social".... Many of them are full members at Alpine and Green Valley. Not all of us can afford to pay in the hundreds of thousands for a (social) membership.

Social golfers playing at reasonable green fee courses would be a good initiative.

Yes, there are players that are members at either Green Valley or Alpine, and there are those that are members at both, and there are those that are not members at either course but do play as a member guest and receive a reduced green fee. The 'social' part is more about friendship, and having a few beers afterwards. Whereas, the actual stableford competition is for the enjoyment of the game as well as for the competition. It's particularly attractive during May and June during the Golf Festival period whereby both GV and Alpine have a reduced green fee of 1,000 Bht plus caddie. The post was only meant to let those that are golfers know that there is a league that plays regularly at those two courses. Those that wish to play are not required to join the league as members, although the annual membership dues are reasonable...50 Baht.

I can play Troon in the off season for 600 thb,,,,,,,,perhaps you should post in Japanese.
