I may relinquish my spot in the last word to jockstar / Combined christmas pres to the Jock, and new years resolution to myself. Jockstar, as I'm the one scheduled to actually finally get the last word, this year and next, your time zone and mine and all the others, mine's a good spot to have.

Of course, I have been known to break my NY resolutions...

my wife and i are having a somewhat subdued new year this year cos

a. it will make a change from going through the motions with the usual crowd

b. the novelty of a whole house to live in, as opposed to my 1 bed flat, has yet to wear off - and getting either of us out is hardwork
