Will27
I reckon that England was due to win a Toss. Opened the Betting account. Flicked on Ch9 for the Toss ... 8.50 (9.50 EDST) ... still with their morning program ... Bat to the Account, 15 secs before closing ... a rushed $3 on Cooke winning the Toss. Too late ... market closed. 15 mins later Ch 9 show the Toss ... A fortune lost again. Settled for $3 on Australia to win @ $1.70 I wonder how Clarkie will go on his home ground? How about a parlay bet? Top scorer first innings England: Cook Top scorer 1st innings AUstralia: Warner Australia to win Well that one is down the gurgler... BookMan, what were you thinking picking Warner in the first innings? He's a 2nd innings specialist

Noses slightly in front at this stage but wouldn't want to lose another one before lunch.

Bailey is probably playing for his test career, as a failure here probably won't see him get picked for the SA tour. At least he has the lunch break so he can settle down a bit and prepare. Coming out with 5 or 10 minutes before lunch would've been dicey. Here's my call BookMan......Bailey won't make 15. Hopefully Smith, Haddin and the tail can get us to 250.

We're now 7/277 thanks to a handy run rate of 4 an over. Smith just hit a 6 to go to 99. If we can scrape our way to 320, that would ok seeing as we were put in. Bailey averaged 18 in the Sheffield Shield last year. He really only got picked on the strength of an Excellent ODI series against India. The trouble was, the pitches they were playing on were like roads and the boundaries were 60 odd meters. Smith just brought up his hundred.....nice. Nah ... it was a group of them, 11 in total from memory, they pop up week or two ... Sometimes they look like they are able to dodge the soap ... but they usually end up having a bath ...
