Purple hearts, Dexies. Mogadon. We did get uplifted by the music but weekends began on Thursday and finished on Monday. It was hard work staying awake for 5 days....

Most of the Northern Soul on this thread has been sixties related, however there was a lot of seventies Northern Soul which in my opinion was disco bogaloo nonsense.

I really enjoyed that, the passion of the presenters involvement , not typical BBC detachment.
