My thaivisa.com gmail account stopped working yesterday, using Outlook it can't sign in and facebook showed a warning that my email is invalid, obviously their emails are getting returned.

Should I be able to sign in with the gmail website using the *******@thaivisa.com email? If so that doesn't work also.

Any ideas?

I received an email from Thaivisa about 10 days ago, stating they were shutting down all the @thaivisa.com email accounts (which are powered by GMail) as of Friday, June 21st. Mine is still operating at the moment however. It's a real PITA for me, as I used that email address for most things I ever registered for online. So I have a lot of websites I need to visit and supply a new email address to. Very time consuming! Contrary to what some people think, it is not just a simple matter of sending an email message out to friends in your address book, telling them you have a new email address.

Further complicating things, they informed me that the forwarding option in GMail (to forward future messages coming into the @thaivisa.com email account) would also stop functioning when they shut these emails addresses down.

I don't know if these are being shut down in phases or not? But you can try accessing your account as webmail by going to this link, then entering your email address and password:

https://mail.google.com/a/thaivisa.com

Good luck.

Thanks for info. I didn't receive any email about it. The webmail doesn't work either.

Luckily I only used that email for a few website registrations for wanting to keep it spam free as I used it for notifications on 3 web servers, each with about 50 domains each, that shouldn't be a problem as should be able to modify multiple accounts on each server. The problem will be having to manually change 150 wordpress installs, nightmare.

You'd of thought they would of sent out a few emails instead of just one before pulling the plug annoyed.gif

Yes, I thought it was poorly handled. There should have been multiple notices and much more time given to prepare for it. There is much more to it than simply sending an email out to your contact list to tell them you're changing your email.

Unfortunately we had to urgently disable the use of our free email service due to rampant spam and abuse issues. If you have questions please email support at thaivisa dot com.
