Looks very like an ashy tailorbird.

Yes, I'm not surprised it was missed! Makes me think of these new species of Phylloscopus warblers which can only be identified by song patterns. Not for me!

Occasionally, you will have a perfect Phylloscopus moment when you observe every identifying characteristic, call, habitat, wing stripe, crown, behaviour, altitude and you will be able to identify with certainty.

I say 'occasionally'.
