Hello fellows ...

Re: Driving Licence.

I over heard a Thai person saying today that when people reach the age of eighty years (80) they will no longer be able to get a driving licence in Thailand.

Is the Thai chap correct in saying that, I have not heard this before.

I know many Westerners (farangs) at this age and over this age, that are driving their cars in a respective and responsible manner, and the same no doubt also applies to Thai car drivers aged eighty years and over.

Please advice whether you have any knowledge of this, and whether it is indeed correct or not, that a driving licence is no longer issued when the above age is reached.

I look forward to your respond --- thanks.

In the UK, your licence is valid until you are 70, I think, after that it is a doctors note stating you are ok. Officially.

I think the question was about obtaining a driver's license in Thgailand. Not a driving licence in the U.K.
