Have to say that I was not happy about the loss of 20 channels. However right now I am watching the first F1 practice on Star Sports channel. Not bad at all, mind you the commentry does not compare at all to the excellent BBC commentry. But BBC does not have the live rights to Hungary GP.

I went to rawai cable, their offer is not very clear, but from what I understand

- there is one digital package for 375/month, with a lot of channels, a bunch of english one like foxcrime, movie channel, fox, kix, flash, universal, sony channel, fox crime, nat geo wild, crime network, bio, but without astro sport, fox sports, star sports and euro sport (they only decent sports channels...) and a few other channels that interested me like the french channel.

I have to confirm but it seems no HD available with this package

When I noticed the lack of good sports channel, the lady told me "no problem, switch to analog cable to get them". It would be annoying to do that especially if you need to keep paying the 250/month analog package

- there is a "football" package for 962/month, with pretty much the same channels as the standard digital package plus fox sports plus, fox sports news, star sports, but still no eurosport! What about the tour de france next year? According to their paper, the only HD channels are crap ones like food network or baby TV. Seems strange, so maybe it's a mistake.

I remember being over the moon when practice for the previous race was on Star Sports, but I don't think the actual race or qualifying were. I went to the pub instead because I couldn't find the programs, although highlights of the race were shown several times during the following week.

However, I may have just got the times wrong as, according to this site: http://tv.foxsportsasia.com , F1 practice session 2 starts at 7:55 pm Thailand time tonight, but it has already started (at 6:55 pm).

OK, this is why I am sceptical about whether qualifying and/or the race will be on Rawai cable analogue:

According to the web site (http://tv.foxsportsasia.com/), there's supposed to be MotoGP on now, but they're showing the Wimbledon men's final.

I'll be going to the pub to watch the qualifying. Can someone post whether it was actually on Rawai cable (analogue)? Thanks.

That's been going on for over a week on KPP Rawai. It must be the same signal source. I'm about to cancel it all and just download everything and watch it when I want and pause it whenever I want.
