Hi i am working in Bangkok for a leading Infra company...i had to endorse certain document like copy of work permit visa salary slips and appointment letter to secure a loan back home...however the people here at changwattana are not willing to listen anything and the need a letter from commerce ministry that i am employed in so and so company.....i insisted that i have original work per why they require more to that they agreed to endorse for visa and work permit...but for salary slip, appointment letter and bank statement they are adament and want letter from commerce minisrty even a letter in company letter head signed by HR is not accepted....pls suggest how to get it done.......

Because they want the commerce ministry to confirm your working for a legimate company thats all....

Rather than argue with them just get it done....otherwise you stand a chance of not getting anywhere with changwattana

changwattana are immigration...so one assumes they will not vaildate any of those documents unless on a another goverment departments say so

i understand but again the ministry of commerce will ask for company document declaration etc etc is there any other way out..............first my embassy told me if want endorsement you get it done from changwatanna first then again changwatanna told me to go to commerce ministry..dont know how long this will go....

Where are you going at Chiang Watanna? I hope not at Immigration. It is done at Ministry of Foreign Affairs above the passport issuing office if you need legalization of Thai documents/translations. All they can do is stamp that a document is a true translation.copy - the issuing office must certify the actual document as real.

The labour office site is being renewed so I can't check, but I believe the labour office has a special form for endorsement of a work permit. That is probably what they want to see.

Not sure, as this is something from my memory, which not always serves m right (even when I want it) and never seen the form. So I might be incorrect.

In that case just go to Ministry of Commerce and figure it out.

Or hire a lawyer/notary.
