My wife is insistent that she wants to change the colour if her hair. I don't mind about this, it's my wife's choice.

But...

The salon my wife is choosing is her friends shop, of whom put colour on my wife's friend hair and messed it up completely.

I'm am trying extremely hard to persuade my wife to go to someone who actually knows what there doing, I don't car if it costs 3/4/5000 baht.

Fact is what is wrong with them.

Been with my wife 6 years, and seems to just get worse.

Anyway any ideas?

There's a fundamental difference in thought processes between the sexes. You can only engineer a compromise but I can't help but think you're pushing too hard.

I'd like to talk some sense to some foreign men but like the ladies some things you can't teach you just need to experience yourself.

My wife is completely different, a few months ago she told me she'd like to dye her hair because all her collegues at the massageshop did it. I told her it's very bad for the hair especially the hydrogen peroxide used to remove the original color before applying the new color, and that it kills the living hair cells, but also that her black hair is very beautiful and she should be proud of it.

Almost immediately she agreed and changed her mind, she does not mind anymore being different from her friends. She is always open to learn seeing things from a different perspective, did nog have much education but blessed with natural intelligence.

Most Thai girls suffer serious ignorance together with twisted ego's I call it culturally handicapped. My girl she's a hilltribe from the far north. The best a man can get I love her a lot and can trust her 100%.

First of all, you are looking at it in the wrong way.

She went to her friends shop ... conversation stops there.

To go anywhere else is for her friend to lose face.

It doesn't matter what job her friend has done.

Your wife will change her mind when her female friends change it ... not when you try to.

On the other hand, now that you've started making an issue of it, if she goes to her friend and it's a mess, you be blamed for letting her go there.

Women are lose-lose in these situations, better to wait for the outcome and rescue her from her mess, her gratitude will make your patience worthwhile

There's an advert on Diva channel for self promotion but it features an Asian woman in all sorts of disastrous situations laughing at herself instead of getting cranky. One of them is an obviously hot and trendy hair salon where the highly camp stylist takes off the pot thing that they boil the hair in and has turned this woman's hair into this streaky pink disaster. I think you should go along either way, the expression on her face was (and would be) priceless.
