I have been looking for a prefab outdoor stoage shed for over a year and can't find anything. Our house has very little storage space. Something that is weather proof, insect proof, snake and mouse proof. Someplace to keep tools, mower, boxes, etc. Home Depot back in the states has many models and styles to choose from at various price ranges. Has anyone seen these in Thailand? I had one back in the states (I think Rubbermaid?) that snapped together with reinforcing screws and a molded floor.

There are endless opportunities for an entrepreneur when it comes to "Home Depot" type products not readily available in Thailand.

How about, an American style hot water heater to start!

I don't have a clue what Europe/Aussies use but in America it is a simple contraption that heats water and stores it in a tank to be dispersed throughout the house. All the water runs through the tank from the water source.Thais seem to predominately use those death boxes (tankless) located in each shower. It is a super simple invention.

My Dad used to make jokes about people saying "hot water heater". "why are people heating water that's already hot?". Shouldn't people just say "water heater"?

The problem I see (at least for me) with tank style water heater is, my entire house is single piped for water distribution. Having to install a second set of pipes for hot water would cost a fortune.

That's what I am looking for but, only about 1/2-3/4 that size. Thanks for the link. I will have my wife contact them and see if they have other sizes.

Thanks for the link.

That's one good point.

The other great reason for tankless is the power wasted keeping the water in the tank hot for the 20+ hours a day you're not using hot water.

Now if they could just put the 220V wiring a few feet away from running water...

Imagine having to cut into concrete and brick walls to install pipes? Yikes. Of course, you could do it the way it's done in the Philippines and just install the pipes on the outside of walls and paint them (sometimes).

When I lived in the MIddle East, the building my flat was in had the water storage tanks on the roof. The water heater was in a closet inside the flat. During the hot summer months, I would switch off the water heaters and the water would be cool when it came out the H tap and the water from the roof top storage tanks would come out hot from the C tap. The sun beating down on those unshaded metal roof top tanks would make the water fairly hot.
