Hi Mr Hammar,

Interesting a few tips from me on losing weight. I have found that I have achieved my weight loss goal from Matcha Green Tea Powder. Its great because helped me burn fat faster in my weightloss journey. I buy from www.zengreentea.com.au . I find they have the best value and best quality (I've tried a few others )."

In the last 2 weeks I've lost another kilogram.

Down from 90Kg last year to 78.3Kg 2 weeks ago and now 77.5Kg.

I'll have to start asking for advice on how to gain weight soon!

Or stop the exercise for a while.

That's great. Best wishes on your struggle to MAINTAIN that weight loss. I hope you're joking about needing to gain weight, it would be silly to go that far.

More bad news for me, been eating burgers and fries all week, two upsized KFC meals, Pepsi every day, etc.

Lost another 1.5Kg, down to 76Kg now. There must be some way I can keep exercising and maintain my body weight.

Less calories and more activity = less weight.

BUT!

Macros are important. We need FAT, CARBS, and PROTEIN.

Too little protein on a restricted calorie diet will reduce weight - BUT you will lose muscle. Too little fat and joints will soon restrict activity. Carbs same, we need 'em.

Need to build lean muscle. Calculate your macros and slightly restrict calories. Eat whole foods and multi vitamin.

Spend the Bhat on organic if you can, do your internals a favor.

It really is both simple AND complicated as hell.

my .02 and worth what ya paid!

Same as what? It seems we don't really need them. Without in the long range we may get some problems because of eating too much fat or protein, but else it seems we can live without (or with extreme low) carbs.

I think see a doctor. People who are losing weight eating like that might have something going on.

Been on a burgers and pepsi diet for a month now.

Good news, only lost 200gm in the last month.

Do you guys buy the juices or make them yourself?

If home-made, what equipment do you use?

I am down to 63 kg but want to lose more.

No more oversized images please, my screen is not big enough. tongue.png

I make home made vegetable juices.

put in some garlic / ginger / tomato / limes / carrot / beet root / pak com (spinach variety) / cucumber

There is a whole thread in the health forum about juicing

I use a hurom juicer (expensive) but i have felt the benefits (more energy) seems my weight is going down again or getting leaner but that might also be because i stepped up my weight lifting.

Great post, thanks for sharing.

PS. this is my first post on ThaiVisa. I signed up to look for a foreign PT in Bangkok. If anyone know any good PT, please let me know. I am a sophisticated beginner, if there is any, and Thai PTs have failed me terribly.

Yogurt for breakfast. For those eating grains w/ dairy I think yogurt beats milk. I dilute my low fat no sugar live bacteria yogurt with chilled water so it mimics milk that way. For sweet add sliced fruit. Almonds too.

The no sugar part is good. You can forget the low fat part and go Greek (!), but for the inexperienced (not yourself, JT) unfamiliar w/ yoghurts, an article of interest:

Why Americans Are Obese: Nonfat Yoghurt

Ah so I am not the only one to notice that.. no fat but high sugar.

If you really worry about loosing weight there are healthy alternatives that will make you keep weight or gain it. Eating some almonds just 100grams a day would help. Nuts are high in calories so in theory they would help.

I think it is time to go see a doctor mate. I don't mean to alarm you, but rapid weight loss despite eating a lot could - and I stress the word COULD - be the signs of illness, lots of them actually, some quite serious. Maybe go in for a quick check up and some blood tests.

He has really increased his physical exercise a lot to many hours a week. Combine that with the fact that some people loose weight easier as others it is explainable. But if it keeps on dropping there could be a problem.

Yep, I've gone from no exercise 15 months ago, to 12 hours intense exercise every week.

I've been doing it with a group of friends, I was biggest starting at 90Kg, now at 75Kg.

My friends were all starting around 73Kg, but one has now shrunk to 64Kg, another at 66Kg.

Depends on how much you weighed before you began gaining weight, I mean what is the normal weight. For me for example, I've never weighted below 84 kg as an adult, so if I suddenly began losing weight down to 75 kg that would be a concern for me, but if your normal weight is 70kg or so, then you're probably right that there is no reason for concern. Difficult to say when we don't know the normal weight.

I'm losing about 1.5kg a week on average now, down to 95kg after 102kg max around Cristmas time.

1500 calorie goal, at least 45 min high intenstiy, low carb, high protein.

That is very effective, but taxing. Feels like I have been starving for months while in reality only a little more than 2 weeks.

I am seeming to have a similar problem right now, strange as i never thought it possible.

I am having a problem gaining weight (muscle) by eating healthy foods. I just feel full all the time even if i add protein shakes and my weight wont budge much. I did not expect fast weight gain but i did expect more then this. Yesterday a huge dish of whole wheat spaghetti with sauce (carb cycling) as I am mostly lowish carb. But nothing, because i could not go out last month (work related) I did not wear my jeans and when i wore them again they were a bit more loose as normal (the belt).

Never figured i could get this. Of course I am sure if i go for burgers and coke that i can put some weight on but that is not really what I am looking for. I might just be at the end no more gains unless high doses of steroids and that is not the way i want to go.

Must find a new goal now as maintaining is boring in the gym, before i went for weight loss or for muscle growth, seems both are done. Might do a bit more for the abs but that is it.

That's the part I find interesting is looking how people need to set/change/adapt their motivation to keep an healthy level of physical activities and manage their eating habits.

I am sure i can do it.. but i like working towards something having a challenge. But to be honest i think body-wise there is not much more for me to do "naturally" I might start to work more on my abs as they could get bigger or something like that.

I have never been in better shape as I have been now, never ate healthier as I am eating now.. kefir.. salads .. and my juicer for loads of healthy vegetable juices. No sugar and such. Relatively low carb. Sure I can go out and break that habit once in a while like going to a fancy pizzeria (Maria's is good), but even when i go to sizzler or Oishy i will be eating healthy.

I can maintain.. but its nicer to work towards something. Right now I am trying to get my deadlifts up to a level I was before. Still 10 kg to go. I might try to set the goal as doing 200 kg deadlifts 5x (30 kg to go). Strength wise i might be able to improve a bit on some things. Bench press.. doubt i can go much higher as I am doing now always been doing sets of 8 with around 110 kg I dont see that going up.

As I said for me there must be something to improve.. because moving the same weight all the time gets boring especially if no body changes.

Can you imagine your running times staying the same all the time no more improvement and you know its going to stay like that or worse yet.. going down with age.

Its hard to keep motivated then.

To increase weight you need to increase your sugar and fat intake.

"Healthy" food just doesn't cut it, once you get to a certain level of fitness.

As we have both now found out.
