Labrador retreiver puppy wanted

I am looking for a black lab male puppy for my 5 year old grandson. Pedigree/papers not important. He will be a family pet, not a show dog. We live in North Central Thailand but can travel to meet him.

Any links or anyone with a bitch that will litter soon, please respond.

It would be great if you would be open to visiting some of the volunteer run animal shelters throughout the area. A black lab is not really the best choice for the weather here but there are loads of nice pets available for adoption at the shelters.

The animals will be sterilized, have their initial inoculations and so desperately would love to be in a loving home. Take a look around and, if you feel so inclined, leave a hearty and most welcome donation for the hard work and expenses these groups are have.

We have two dogs from Care for Dogs. They are just plain and simply great dogs although they are not of any pedigree other than being Soi dogs.

I am open for that. Every dog I ever had growing up and as an adult in the states was a pound dog. I also made annual donations to the local shelter as well. I am looking for a puppy for my 5 year old grandson. He is a little afraid of big dogs but, starting him with a puppy that will grow into a larger dog would be great for him I think. I did visit the local shelter a couple months ago and really did not see any dogs that I was interested in. But, I guess I can expand my search. I guess part of it is, when I was a small boy, my best friend had a black lab and I always thought it a great dog for a small boy. Also, my grandson loves the beach and the water and we go to the beach every couple months for a few days. Having a dog that loves to swim as much as he does is a definately plus.

If you could find a dog from a shelter it would be great! When I first came here in 1997 I breed Golden Retreivers but stopped in 2005. I now have only one left along with a 13 year old Golden Lab. I also have 8 Thai mutts that have been adopted over the years, one with only 3 legs. As long as they are properly cared for and are part of the family they are great. Although I sometimes question the intelligence of the mutts compared to the Lab who can open the front door whenever he wants and sleeps in the back seat of the truck if I forget to close the door, always ready to travel!
