New Villa mart in Patong

Anyone know if its open and the parking , ( seems they have underground)?

Villa Mart? Do you mean Villa Market?

Yes, it's open and there is parking. At least what I've been told. Not checked myself and not likely to check as beach road traffic flow is a nightmare. Chalong Villa is much handier for me.

It has been open for some time now Richard and there is parking. I found prices about

5 to 7 baht per item up on Chalong shop prices, but I suppose that is to be expected in

such a high rent location as Patong beachfront. It is handy for me living in

Patong and saves a long drive to Chalong, saving on gas probably covers the higher

prices so breaking even.

Great, thanks, will have to give it a look, 5-7 baht /item doesn't bother me as i live in kamala so hate driving down to Chalong.

Now no reason ever to go :-)

on another point, did a motorcyle ride north to the airport,

Seems the north end of Surin Beach is turing into a popular late night beach side club area,

3-4 of them already up an running and a few more under construcion.

Yes parking round the back and underneath (entrance also at the back).

Much smaller shop than Chalong and as already mentioned, prices a little higher, with wine being around 7% more expensive in general.
