After install of car alarm in Honda CRX

Featured Replies

My old car alarm seems to have given up it's spirit - and since my insurance do not cover theft (and car still looks cool! ;) ) I want to after install a new alarm.

I have googled a bit but am no expert! Will get someone who is to install, but any tips on:

Will any alarm do, or will it need to have Honda (or even model specific) specific specs?

Any good place to buy/get installed at reasonable prices?

See when googling "remote start" function - darn cool - but don't want it to take off without me! :) (aware will only start if in Park/Neutral but that is if installed correctly..TIT..).

Any tips, experiences or ideas highly appreciated!

Cheers!

Any good car accessory shop will supply and fit for you. You don't need Honda specific there are so many brands and functions to choose from.

Firefan.

Sorry I can't be of any help but I wanted to ask;

What year is your CRX?, did you import it over?, I have my beloved MKII mugen kitted CRX which I would love import.

I'm already aware how hard this will be but just wondering what the story behind your car is.

Hi Tom!

Bought it here so did not have the import hassle. Have seen a few around, but not many. This is the Honda CRX Del Sol JDM (japan import) SIR 1993 - so a very old lady.... fit though! :)

Cheers!
