Recessed manhole cover

Because our "manhole" was simply an access to pump the septic tank, and no one would need to climb in, we had it reduced in size (reinforced concrete) and fitted with a screw-in cap when we covered the area with concrete.

Or neighbor did the same, then tiled, making sure one removable tile covered the cap.

Yeah have seen those in the house we are in now. Our new house has two manholes at the back I want to have access to one in case of problems.

Any local builders merchant should be able to order one for you. Assuming that you don't speak enough Thai to do it yourself I would suggest that you carefully explain exactly what you want to to a fluent Thai speaker who can then go with you and place the order. With luck it will be in a sales book with a picture for you to look at before parting with your cash.
