ricku Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 I have been searching this forum, and I could find lots of information on where to eat pizza in Bangkok. But I could not find any info on where to eat true New York style pizza. Everyone who have ever been to NYC knows what kind of pizza I am talking about. It is simply the best, and I'm craving for it every day. Pizza may have been invented in Italy, but it was perfected in New York.
tweezer Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Try Ronny's New York pizza on Suk Soi 4 (Nana). They do a pretty good job! http://ronnysnewyorkpizza.com/ Cheers! 1
Bpuumike Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Try Ronny's New York pizza on Suk Soi 4 (Nana). They do a pretty good job! http://ronnysnewyorkpizza.com/ Cheers! Yes indeed, the finest kind. A long way (well, 5-10 mins walk) up Soi 4, on the right, directly opposite the SECOND 7/11. Enjoy, but BYOG wine or buy at the 7/11.
Ulysses G. Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 IMO, there is nothing to compare with New York pizza in Bangkok, Thailand or South East Asia. You just have to lower your standards and make do. When I was a kid, we used to put tomato sauce and a slice of American cheese on a English muffin and stick it in a toaster oven for a similar taste to pizza. Pizza in Thailand is not far from that.
ricku Posted August 16, 2013 Author Posted August 16, 2013 Thanks. I will try Ronny's. It is strange that no one else has opened a real New York Pizzeria, since that kind of pizza is so dam_n good. Clearly a missed business opportunity in Bangkok.
impulse Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Obviously a troll thread because EVERYONE knows the best pizza is from Chicago, and looks nothing like the garbage in the OP photo... Seriously, though- best Pizza I have found is below the Asok BTS station at Pala's but I'm still looking for "better value". And the best pizza I've ever had was from Enzo at the Pizza Palace in Mt Freedom, NJ. That was the '70s and I have yet to find anything comparable.
Bpuumike Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Cozies on Suk Soi 10 do excellent pizzas but Italian (and same for Pala) but not New York, which is what the OP requested. Back to Ronny's on Soi 4.
