SATTAHIP:--It took about four hours, but animal-rescue workers rounded up a 6-meter-long python that went hunting in a Sattahip temple.

A frightened monk called the Sawang Rojthummasathan Foundation after midnight Aug. 17 after the snake stole into his dormitory. Weighing more than 60kg, the giant reptile was looking for his next meal. The monk didn’t want to be it.

The python didn’t go easily, however. After first wrapping itself around a tree branch 10 meters in the air, it fought off attempts by tree-climbing rescuers to capture it.
