dthomasss
I am trying to find a pickup with two guys who can move a couple of items (fridge, washing machine) from jomtien to central pattaya. No stairs involved. Any suggestions on where to find and what i should offer
Upnotover
Look in the street and you'll see signs on many lampposts say something about 4 & 6. They are advertising truck hire and will provide driver and lifting guy, I would think 500 would cover it. tingtong
rent a pickup about 1200 baht a day. fuel for this short distances to and from rental plus delivering 100 thb. 2x 6 packs beer to drinking buddies for their help say 400thb. grand total about 1700thb. alternative: ask around the neighborhood for 2 guys with pickup and taste for a quick job. offer 600-1000thb, depend how many items, and how long to complete the job. (traffic, rounds to bring things to and from the pickup)
Gsxrnz
Just hire the next baht bus that drives past your gate. That's how most Thais move house. The driver will help you. Max 500B.

Yes that's the way to do it, with such short distance waste of money renting one. Or just ask the taxi bike drivers outside where you live now and they can quickly organize it.

Yep, either the baht bus driver or your local motorbike taxi driver will arrange it for you and find a body to help you move. These guys are the "go to" blokes for anything like this. They're basically the local version of the Yellow Pages. Just make sure you pay a fair price.
