'Proof of address' for car dealer

Featured Replies

I have purchased a new car, as part of the deal I part exchanged my old one. In order to complete the deal I have been told by the dealer (Toyota)that I need to go to the Immigration office to get proof of my address , so the new owners (LetSure - Toyota's second hand dealers) can legally own the car. My question is what is the procedure, do I need to download a form before I go and what if any documents do I need to copy. I intend to go this Mon morning (Chiang Mai) to do this, I just like to be prepaired as best I can to save time.

Any help would be apprciated

I have just purchased a new car.docx

Just rock up to immigration with your passport and a copy of rent receipt for where you live.....or work permit. They have forms there for you to fill out.

what proof of address did you provide to buy the new car ?.............

This should suffice for the sale of the old one.

If he has workpermit no need to go top immigration, transfer can be done with WP in stead of address certification.

And don't forget your 2 photos if you need a residence certificate from immigration

I used an 8 month old letter from my embassy (NZ).

It was a photocopy as I thought I might need the original for something else.

This was car purchase. Car sale the same....? Not here if past experience is anything to go by.
