wilcopops
Btw, which Koh Chang are we talking about ? The one just off Trat. Right next to Cambodia. 2nd largest island in Thailand and scene of the Franco-Thai naval battle in 1941. Hardly think you are a better source? fish fingers
The british consulate don't always offer enough help to brits in need, as we saw with that guy left to rot in a Pattaya cell a couple of yrs back. There shd be a government site page set up just to offer advice, warn and give help to the huge amount of uk tourists visiting thailand. Maybe the UK Embassy etc don't want to upset their hosts or see them lose face. Many young people holiday in thailand whilst in a fragile mental state, for example after breaking up with a partner. Things can go v badly wrong and when you are by yourself and in trouble, even the most beautiful island can feel like the most lonely place in the world.
