Looking for a budget Intel Processor

Featured Replies

I'm trying to fix a computer from a family with a less financial means.

They had a AMD AM2 processor, I'm not sure which processor it actually is as the processor seems clued to the cooler. The mainboard of the computer is probably fried as it was destroyed by a power surge from a power-supply that shorted out.

The Samsung hard drive also did not survived the electric power surge.

I'm looking for somebody who has an Intel processor available so I can help this family. It doesn't really matter what processor it's as I have in the office several mainboards (for Intel socket 775 or 1155) already.

For memory I have enough DDR2 1GB modules to make any combination, I have even DDR3 in case we building a Intel socket 1155 based computer.

I bought already a new case, powersupply, keyboard, mouse and Acer 18.5” LED screen. The budget for a processor is not that big so I'm really looking for some help....

I have a Celeron. I'm sure it's not worth much. If interested, PM me, and I will dig a little deeper on the specifics.

Where are you? I've an old PC that suffered an HDD failure and I no longer use. It has an intel chip but can't remember details and I'm not currently home to check.

You're welcome to the whole thing for free, if you come collect.

PM me.
