I need a Thai video for infant CPR / choking first aid instruction

Featured Replies

Hi

can someone point me to a good video in Thai about infant choking and CPR ,

the baby is 8 months old now and starting to pick things up , its only a matter of time before she starts putting them in her mouth,

So I would like something they can watch and maybe even download to an iPhone ,

YES , I could search google myself.......BUT that is not going to tell me if the video in Thai is done well :)

So please ask your wifes , and maybe its not a bad idea to show it to the babysitter too !

thanks for your help

CPR I would personally not recommend. It requires more than watching a video and without proper training there is the strong possibility of serious injury, especially on such a young child. You really have to know when to perform it, how to perform and an important part is to check for life signs. They can be very weak, but often does not require CPR. Performing it might/would do more harm than good.

Heimlich is very easy to train. But again, one of the most important thing to remember is that if someone is still breading (if only a little), do not perform it. You might make the situation worse.

Search YouTube. At least you can see what to do if they are choking.

Prevention is better than cure op. Its time to find and remove items laying around. Mines 8 months. Same story. Everything goes straight in her mouth. My sil is in child care, she says they have 4 year olds still putting things in the mouth.

I know I can find it in english , the problem is finding it in Thai , and that it is correct :)

You can translate? Anyhow at least they can see what to do.

  • 1 month later...

Contact the folks from this web site and ask about learning the heimlich and/or CPR; http://www.thaicpr.com/

or check with your local ambulance folks if they know of any training classes or instructional aids

as a last resort, check this short Thai video clip on child CPR; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t59DdcBkQCQ

Good luck.
