The documents were duly despatched by registered mail 4 days before my 90 day report was due. After one week, I had not received the receipt therefore I rang immigration to check what was happening. I was told that all received 90 day reporting forms had been processed and the receipts dispatched. The officer did not appear to be wish to check if mine was amongst them. A visit to the post office the following day confirmed that the letter had indeed been delivered and the receipt signed by the immigration officer. No worries then.

One week later , I still had not received the receipt, so I contacted the immigration office again and was told that I should ring back the following week (after Songkhran) and they would check their files. The following week, they confirmed that my 90 report had indeed been processed and the receipt despatched.

It is now almost another week (22 days after my reporting date) and my receipt has still not been received.

Can anyone tell me what my legal situation is?

As the Immigration Office records show that your 90 Day report has been received, processed and receipt despatched, I cannot see that you have anything to worry about.

If you were to be questioned in the future, all they would have to do is check their files.

It is normal to wait that time from reports and with the holidays it could be expected to be longer. However it appears you were lucky if they accepted it for processing as you must mail 7 days early by regulations.

The above mentioned documents must be sent by registered mail and the receipt of the registration kept by the foreigner.

Send the mail before the renewal date 7 days to
