i need some advice, pointing in the right direction regarding applying for thai passport whilst i am outside of the UK.

Mother and baby are currently in Thailand. Our daughter has already applied and received a British Passport,

but we didnt have time to apply for Thai Passport before i headed home, and i dont have time to fly back before they

depart to join me in europe.

my wife has told me i "have to go embassy and get paper" biggrin.png

i take it i need to send her a legalized letter of consent. any ideas guys and gals? wai2.gif

Basically you'll need a certified letter of consent signed by you on a Thai embassy letterhead. Basically a Thai power of attoerney on this matter. Done at the local municipality here in Thailand, but you'll have to use the embassy.

Best get the Thai passport before she departs, otherwise on return your daughter will be re-admitted into Thailand as a British Citizen and all the visa hassles which come with that. Thai passports are easy and straight forward to get, cost 1000 baht and take 3 days to turn around.

Exit on Thai PP

Enter UK on UK PP

Exit UK on UK PP

Re-enter on Thai PP

Show airline both passports to show child has unlimited right to enter both countries without the need of visa.
