Why are Thai officials obsessed with putting a timeframe, usually unrealistic, on everything ? It may be designed to make them look decisive and efficient but only serves to make them bigger fools than usual when the time set isn't met. They just can't help it . . . they HAVE to say something "positive" even when the rest of the world knows they are talking out of their ass. Am I missing something important here? Even if he thought the path of flood water was less than 7 days from the north to the sea, the 7 day prediction for 'crisis over' was outdated before it left his lips.................... Of course we are civilized here in Chiang Mai and do not let the water hang around that long. They're flooded and standing in abo. 8 inches of water ...
