Poll: People prefer constructive political news

BANGKOK, 7 Oct 2013 (NNT) - Dusit Poll has revealed that Thais prefer constructive political news and are growing tired of hearing arguments among politicians while the 2.2 trillion baht loan for the nation's infrastructure overhauling projects and rice pledging scheme rank as news receiving the highest attention as the issues directly affect them.

The poll asked poll takers about types of political news of their preference. Out of 1,326 participants, 50.28% said they would like to hear constructive political news, particularly on tangible results of politicians’ work, saying that these kinds of news give them faith in politicians and hope of moving the nation forward.

56.93 percent of the respondents said they wished to see less of news featuring bickering among politicians, using vulgar languages as the behaviors are not suitable characteristics of role models.

Meanwhile, 52.86% said they followed developments on various government projects such as the 350 billion baht water projects and the 2.2 trillion baht infrastructure projects. Another 43.21% expressed their wish for the public to carefully analyze news before making a judgement, especially on news about parliament dissolution and cabinet reshuffles.

Poll: People prefer constructive political news

Yeah, right, the same people who have let themselves carried away by free luxury populist policies and the blue from heaven that the Pheu Thai party has promised them on earth, and who would fall for the same old trick again, because those peeps can't handle the truth, that there is no such thing as free luxuries EVER and that they are practically propaganda-victims of the rich and powerful feudal parties, which backstab flood-white-wash those voters away like garbage, and who would vote buy those victims again, to suck them dry...

You can complain all you want, but when you fall for the same old laxury-crap-trap... you get what you voted for,... peace... wai2.gifwai2.gifwai2.gif

Poll: People prefer constructive political news

The same people who are okay with corruption, if it benefits themselves?

The same people who are too lazy, just sitting on their @$$ instead of getting involved into politics to make a change of some kind?

Negative News: Many parts of Thailand are suffering from severe flooding causing millions of baht in damage.

Positive news: Thais welcomed the floods as an opportunity to spend time with their families swimming and water sporting.

A shabby false dichotomy surveyed on a few folks who

1 answered the phone

2 Had credit

3 Were not out of range/battery/sight

4 could be bothered

And esp unless very carefully double blind control tended to give the expected non confrontational answer

PS when did you stop beating your <deleted>?

We would all like to hear about the tangible results of the politicians work, unfortunately, there isn't any.

"Poll: People prefer constructive political news"

So they just want lies then. Finance minister must be popular. The truth may hurt, but the consequences of only hearing what you want to hear are worse. Look at the rice scheme.....
