Yeah! It was amazing to see pastures like that in the tropics... Definately Sabah Borneo.... I have not been to Gloucestershire in over 40 years!

@ SJ...While in Sabah did you ever grab any pix of the guys riding their little horses?

In KK (Kota Kinabalu) out by the airport they used to have "races" on the weekends.

Not like the derby's in Aussie, UK or US...bit different though...I have vdo but no pix.

^^^ Ages ago, long before the whiteman came to "The Land Below The Wind" a favourite pastime

of these lads was to raid a village, grab the people and have em for dinner....or a few dinners.

When the "foreigners" first arrived these guys developed a real love for "white meat"...especially

missionary white meat. Some time passed and a few missionaries conned em into not eating

the missionaries anymore...which lasts till today. Or so the story goes! I spent quite some time

shooting on Borneo mainly in Kalimantan & Sabah with occasional forays to Sarawak. Almost

decided to live in Kota Kinabalu to further explore the island...hmmmmm...I sometimes wonder

why I never did persue that venture. Anyway...I still have a fond affection for the place. Always

will have it too. Borneo still has that "wild" about it that hasn't been lost to modernisation.
