Hi All.

I'm on an extended visit to the UK with the dragon.

her Thailand driving license (5 year) which she uses here in the UK expires in December .

she can't apply for a UK license (yet) as she is not on the correct visa for that (yet).

she tells me that as far as she knows another persons cannot go and get her a replacement nor can it be done by post as the 5 year replacement requires the quickie test of sign and skills .

any suggestions ?

It also requires them to take your photo for the new credit card style ones. Can't see anyway she can do that by remote control.

What i was told by Chonburi traffic department was that a 5 year Thai DL can be renewed upto 1 year after expiry, but not aware of any way it can be done without turning up in person.
