Anyone applied for a double entry tourist visa in Hong Kong recently?

Featured Replies

I will be in HK in a months time and I'm considering applying for a double entry tourist visa whilst I'm there.

Has anyone applied there recently and if so what was the outcome?

Thanks for any advice.

I don't think they do 2 entry visas. There are no reports here of a 2 entry being issued only single entry

Last year in September I applied tourist visa in Hong Kong. It would be my third TR in 2012 (two of them being consecutive). They wanted to see an outbound ticket from Thailand, also a lot (not so polite) questions if I were working in Thailand. Luckily I came prepared with copies of return flight ticket to Europe and of money transfers from my home country bank to my Thai bank account. I got one entry visa and it was my understanding that one entries were the only kind issued in HK.

I was wondering that as their website is pretty vague.

I'm a HK resident but only used the HK Thai Consulate once in 2008 and if I recall they refused my application for a multi B at that time, which wasn't a big deal as I got my work permit when I arrived.

Do you know if the HK Thai Consulate are funny about issuing ED visas? I've read that some consulates can be.

Many thanks.

Thanks Pikiss.

My passport doesn't have any tourist stamps in, only my now expired Non B.

I'm flying to Hong Kong to see family and do a visa run as my Non B is done. I planned to just re-enter Thailand on a visa free 30 stamp and then I'm booked to fly back to HK in December for Xmas with the family.

In December when I'm in Hong Kong I was going to apply for an ED visa but I don't want to have it expire in December (the following year) as that's always an expensive month what with buying gifts for everyone! and enjoying Xmas and New Year to the full!. So I thought that instead of getting the ED visa in December, I would defer starting my language course by 3 months (60 days visa + 30 days extension) then when the ED visa expires it will be around March 2015.

Does that make sense?

You would have to contact the consulate for info on ED visas. I don't recall any reports for them being issued and there are no reports for HK in the topic I posted a link to,

Yes I will do that.

Cheers for the help.
