Popular Post Hedghog
The house I rent comes with about 1 rai of garden. Including a large mango tree and a kafir lime tree. Since moving in I have slowly added up to twenty banana palms, soon to be thirty. Three types of melon, plus beans, peas, cucumber and loofahs. After having so much produce, that I couldn't eat,I started selling my produce through my landlady. As I only use organic fertilizer (buffalo muck) and pest control is organic, plus my landlady is obviously a good sales person. The sales are out stripping production, the money won't make me rich by any means, but it is a pleasant feeling selling the excess and making a few Baht. Please, I am not interested in work permit warriors, nor is the local immigration. Does anyone else do this.

Popular Post cpofc
I don't think so. Nothing wrong with that. A noble pursuit. If I lived nearby I would be happy to buy from you.I am sure even if you only covered costs you would be happy. Sounds like everyone is happy in fact. There is a certain joy which comes with planting a seed, watching it grow, and bear fruit. Not that I am a religious person at all, but I am sure you get the drift.'You're closer to God's heart in a garden than any place else on earth'
Popular Post besth
In a smaller scale, but I used to do something similar. I had a small garden on a rented house, with a few fruit trees. It was really nice to be able to pick them directly (no work permit ). When the fruit was more than what I would eat, I gave some away to friends an neighbors. One of the neighbors had a stall in a market and sold some, gave me some food in exchange (never money). I don't think this is within the realms of even the greediest dirty baht chasing cop. it is just a pleasant social way to deal with the people around you. Enjoy your garden and don't worry.
Popular Post willyumiii
Good on you, lucky man! Every edible thing I grow, is taken ( stolen?) by my neighbors and relatives, usually just before it is ripe! How do you do it? Guard dogs? Electric fences? Good on you! I am more than just a little jealous!

Popular Post crumpled
That sounds great to me, having something productive to occupy your mind instead of sitting in a bar all day, at the computer or the television. Well done and long may it continue.

Popular Post Hedghog
Thanks for the replies. The loofahs is experimental. They are now showing fruit. I intend growing them past eating stage, then dry them for the bathroom product,Loofah. A hit and miss idea, but Google says it can be achieved. A follow up report on success or failure, will be posted.
