BANGKOK: -- Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra is leading a three-day fact-finding mission to Chon Buri, Rayong and Chantaburi, government spokesman Teerat Ratanasevi said yesterday.

Teerat said that Yingluck, along with deputy prime ministers and related ministers, will listen to the problems of residents of the three provinces.

Today, she and her team were at the Siam Bay Shore Hotel Pattaya to receive a report on Sunday's ferry sinking that left six dead. She also visited the injured survivors at Pattaya Memorial Hospital.

Tomorrow Yingluck will meet locals and receive a report on Rayong's Map Ta Phut industrial estate, before heading to PTT Global Chemical Ltd for a report on the July oil leak.

On Thursday, Yingluck will hear a report on the development of U-Tapao-Rayong-Pattaya International Airport.

Yingluck really has to learn what are appropriate facial expression and whats not. Grimacing while a grieving relative hugs you is nearly as bad as grinning broadly at the scene of a mass fatality accident caused by negligence.

That was the first thing I noticed as well...

Shades of the Prachin Buri floods with her broad ear to ear smile and double handed wave.

Someone must have told Yinluck her brother was arriving at the peir...wouldn't want the big guy to arrive with no welcoming party in place. Hopefully she has figured it out by now she was pranked.

Anything rather than confront the protests about the Amnesty Bill for her brother, will she personally investigate the jet-ski scams next, will she carry out another audit to show how the rice-scam is actually profitable & none of the rice is missing, or will she call former-DPM Chalerm back to do nothing but spout hot air sort it out within 90-days ? wink.png

Spot On. You can bet she'd like to be out of the country but has probably been well advised against it and has been told to go out and look Prime Ministerial as it might help make her speeches sound more believable. Might but ... !

How lovely, a trip in the country - it will get her away from all that political insignificance that is happening in the capital! Well, I certainly hope there is a nice salon in Chonburi for the PM to have her hair done?

This crowd with her looks like a gang of fish porters waiting for the next boat to come in.

Why on earth are all the deputy prime ministers, and other RELATED-( HA HA) ministers there???? Think they must have flown to U-T airport, What did they achieve on this mission, all this TROUP. what did they learn. Did they learn that drugs and no law enforcement on ferry boats exists??? did they learn that most oil spills are avoidable. Did they learn that the Airport at Sattahip is getting ready for more Russian mafia arrivals.

And what 'facts' other than those we know already will emerge from this 'three day fact finding mission'. My guess would be...not a lot. The debacle known as Thailand rumbles on.

It looks like a scene out of the movie Donnie Brasco. A gaggle of two bit gangsters standing around on a pier waiting for the corpse to sink.

These fact finding missions usuallly end up with a trophy night.

Thai's slapping each other on the back and giving out awards for business and tourism acumen.

Why is Yingluck smiling ?..........bubble brain.

LMFAO !! cheesy.gif

3 Day-get away from BKK area. with a planeload of fish porters (look a like) at big hotels and big food and big wine and convoy driven no road hazards, HOW many are in the TROUP. How about a reality boat trip to Koh Lhan overcrowded insufficient life jackets, and drugged up captain, on an unauthorized boat operating for years. Fact finding or 3 day short break.-on the house.

Maybe we should change fact-finding to shopping and sitting under parasols eating sea-food then having a nap! More appropriate I feel.

Looking at the picture, the 'poo yais' (laughable title if there ever was one) seem to be confused as to where they're supposed to be looking. Indeed, if you look at 'Her-right-honourable-shoppaholicness' it appears to be all too much for her, bless and a definite giggle has appeared on her pretty little face, ahh narak. giggle.gif

An inflammatory post accusing Thai Visa of posting only selected photos has been removed along with the quoted replies.

Three days!!!!!! ....... you can do it in three lines.

1. Too many passengers.

2. Not enough life-jackets.

3. Drugged up captain.

That is all you need to know, now all you need to do is find solutions to those three problems, go for it, do something useful for other people for a change.

4. illegal vessel-for passenger use.

5. Local marine officer-sacked(should be).

6. non issue of receipts for payment. -passenger numbers unknown.

7. VAT-TAX to be informed.
