Yes: I get that. But, they are in English.

Most people, outside of Thailand, don't know from amnesty, don't know from Thaksin, and, most importantly, don't give a flying backflip.

Jeez - a recent multi page thread criticizing and haranguing the Kingdom for not having enough English language skills, and when they use the language we lambast them for it!

It's a no win situation!

Maybe because the majority of people posting these are educated and understand English, along with most of their friends that will see these posts...

Just a guess smile.png

Kind of a "Look at me; I'm a protestor!" thing ... cheesy.gif

Don't underestimate the power of protests via social media.

These get shared around the globe, not just in Thailand.

You might be surprised by the amount of support that can be gained in a very short space of time on an international level.

Why do you think these sites are banned by dictators ???

Mind you, I think Curt had already made up his mind that it's a fashion statement before the thread was started, judging by the 'sheep' protest sign that's his avatar. To most folk it would seem simple- why did protestors in Iran share English language slogans..? Because they were aware of the power of social media and external international pressure.

And yeah, there can be pride in protesting. The two aren't mutually exclusive. :)

Kind of like the ambulances that have AMBULANCE written backward on the front.

As has been mentioned, I do understand. I think some others don't ...

But, I will say that your avatar is very fitting, here on TV.

My personal favorite:

Give up?
Notice they even got the phone number jumbled...
