Thaksin Presses Libel Against Celebrity Actress

Lite Beer

Recommended Posts

Typical bull-boy tactics.

Mr T sees himself as the "big I am". He buys, bullies, coerces the little people to do things his way, but as soon as something does not go his way, and he is caught with his fingers in the sweetie jar, he runs crying to play in the sandpit, from where he shouts abuse at everyone.

He would be pathetic if his tentacles did have such a firm grasp of Thailand's testicles.

You mean a wanted criminal that fled the country when he realized he couldn't bribe his way out of a conviction, and didn't want to pay the penalty for the crime(s) he committed, now wants charges filed against other people, and probably expects that they should be found guilty and thrown into the same prison by the same justice system he himself refuses to comply with ?

It's almost scary to think that things could (easily) get much worse, in a very short amount of time.

They wouldn't be faced by the same justice system he faced, unless of course, the Military Junta from 2006 have expressed an interest in getting involved in libel cases..............

The military junta didn't convict Thaksin. They set up a committee to investigate him. That results of the investigation were then presented to the courts by prosecutors, and in 2008, when Thaksin's brother in law was PM, the courts convicted him.

Unfortunately facts won't change the thinking of the converted.

You will never change fab4's outlook; when he can find nothing constructive to say, he will throw in an unrelated link to try to shift the focus.

I think it's time to start looking for someone new to worship fab4... perhaps Jatuporn is right up your street!

...I wonder how much money this temple has 'handled'.....

...very innocuous.....pay for solid gold statues.......has anyone ever asked....

...a little like 'funding that monk'......nothing has ever come of that, has it.....

(Isn't the father of the 16 year old he made pregnant even concerned...or was it settled to his satisfaction...)

...so being out of the country ...running from the law....it's okay to interfere and virtually run the country move by move..

.but Thai citizens have no right to voice their opinions....and...

...can somebody look into this allegation of 400 mercenaries being holed up in the temple...???

(...this was the technique they used previously apparently.....use snipers holed up on temple grounds...)

Khun Thaksin: What about the lies repeated every day by your acolyte Jaturporn? What about your own lies on your Facebook page saying that you are in 'exile'? [self-exile perhaps, but not exile!]. What about all the lies your red shirts have said about Abihsit? Sadly, Thaksin won't read this post but my god! These people make you sick.

So Abihsit, and all the other democrats, and other politicians all the yellow shirts, always tell the truth and any one who support the PTP, the red shirts just tell lies, and are criminals?

The many responses to these types of post always crack me up, I would have to ask how long have you been here to be constantly shocked by the Thai system and how it works and what can be done to seek justice if you feel insulted.

LOL what a pathetic w*nk#r

"I′d like to call on the protesters to use their reasons. Don′t be used by anyone," said Mr. Winyat.

There is nothing wrong with his advice- as long as it includes a little footnote: And don’t be remote controlled by a fugitive from another country. Without a pointer to "our dear leader in Dubai" - it is sheer hypocrisy.

Huh? Why would Thaksin press defamation charges against Jatuporn for lies which weren't about him? That would be odd, and probably not in his best interests. Abhisit, on the other hand, felt Jatuporn had lied about him and so pressed defamation charges (three times in seperate cases I believe). PAD also filed a defamation charge against Jatuporn but the case was dismissed.

One distinct difference is that Abhisit is here in Thailand. Thaksin is not and there is no LAW stopping Thaksin coming back to Thailand even though that seems to be inferred by the PTP government ,,,, hence the amnesty debacle.

Your point is? You think that a special group like the AEC would be formed purely to investigate that one Actress to dig and dig until they find cases against her they think are credible.

If you don't agree that would happen, I believe you'll find that what I said was correct and far more useful in a debate than your "violin.gif "

Funningly enough one of the cases that abhisit lost against Jatuporn was the one about about abhisits military service. The Court said abhisit was lying about paperwork he had (but couldn't find just at the moment whistling.gif ) that proved he was excempt from military service. He hasn't got it , he wasn't excempt, he was lying.

If everyone was taken to court every time they said something libelous in public we'd all be in jail.

Or on the run. whistling.gif

I guess we can't be sued for calling him a convicted criminal fugitive...

For telling the truth, no.

Interestingly, if you are charged with libel in Thailand it is up to the defendant to prove the statement not the litigant to disprove. So in the case of the convicted criminal fugitive you only need to roll-out the court decision to prove your statement. Done and dusted.

Yes you can, you can be sued irrespective of whether your statements were true or not. This may seem obvious but it has important legal consequences, it gives people the ability to bully others into silence regardless of whether they're speaking the truth or not.

That's not what he says or implies. His comments were about Thaksin and Thaksin's political allies. Your own comment is your view dressed up to look like a conclusion. There is no logical link for the two, only in your mind, because you want to discredit something you perceive as a derogatory comment about someone you support. That's fine - but don't expect everyone to be fooled.

Thaksin and his parties lies and behavior cannot be excused or justified on the grounds that the opposition may or may not do the same.

I don't understand how someone who refuses to submit himself to the jurisdiction of the nation's criminal court, is allowed to claim jurisdiction in a civil action. The entire Thai judicial system is an anachronism in need of major reform.

Correct. But don't be surprised if Tarit finds an excuse to investigate those Thaksin wants to sue. Defamation, libel, rebellion and anything else he can dream up to help defend his boss's snow white reputation.

The Convicted Criminal Fugitive Caddy (CCFC) is a total hypocrite, and and appears to believe that he is above the law, and that laws are only valid if they are to the benefit of himself.

Tarit appears to be being Caddied as well from Dubai, so yes anything is possible.

Does anyone here know for a fact:

Can a convicted criminal fugitive from justice actually bring a law suit in the country from which he is a fugitive?

Thaksin has brought many, and won some of them.

But can a convicted criminal fugitive who is not Thaksin actually bring a law suit in the country from which he is a fugitive?
