Do photographs need to be signed, verified, on the back when processing through HongKong ?

This is a visa forum. Are you talking about UK passport applications by chance? Do not believe photos need that if you still look the same (not impossible to see same person is the person in previous photo).

Sorry, yes, Uk passport application through HK from Thailand.

What should be of particular concern to the OP is obtaining photos which fully meet all of HMPO's strict criteria. In my experience this is easier said than done since professional photographers in LOS normally take mugshots against blue or white backgrounds, which are both unacceptable colours in HMPO's eyes.

Don't need any counter signing as they are aware that you (probably) don't personally know any judges, GPs etc. in Thailand.
